Hurricane Irma Update

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to update everyone a little bit. We have been MIA a bit because of our travels to New York and now we are dealing with Hurricane Irma.

As of right now, we are not in the cone but we will still feel the hurricane winds and get some of the rain. We have plenty of food and water to be safe. We will keep you all updated!

We will be back to normal soon once the hurricane madness is gone! Some of you have reached out to us and we TRULY appreciate that! We love this community and everyone in it!

Thanks again everyone! See you soon!

Recap: August 21- August 25

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a fun weekend!

This week we played some new games, and some older ones! Let’s dive in shall we?

-Hanamikoji

-Splendor

-Not Alone

-Catan

-Unearth

Three out of the five games we had never played before whereas the other we had. We have played Hanamikoji and Splendor quite a few times before. Splendor was one of the first games we had got and its still one of those games that we still really enjoy. Hanamikoji is always such a beauty to bring out. The game’s art is so gorgeous and its so colorful. The gameplay is packed with strategy. Definitely need to think with it!

Not alone was definitely fun for us. Though we really want to play the game with more people. I think it would be quite fun with at least 3-4 people. Hopefully we can play with more people soon! The art in this game is awesome as well.

Catan is a classic in many of our eyes. We just had never played it! Now we understand how and why its a classic. We really enjoyed our experience with this game and can’t wait to share it with others who haven’t played it. We want our families to play it!

Unearth was quite an interesting game for us. The art is very beautiful and we enjoyed the game play. It felt different than anything we played. We really enjoyed it. Its a game I’d play if I wanted something quiet. Nothing too crazy!

Overall, this weeks games were a lot of fun! We really enjoyed the variety we had. Some new, some old! Trying to spice it up a bit! Again, stay tuned for this weeks coming games! Till then...

Happy Gaming!

Recap: August 14 - August 18

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!

We will be blogging a weekly recap on the games that we played throughout the week. We think this is a great way to express which games we really enjoyed and what games we can't wait to play again.
This week, we played the following games:
* Raptor
* Netrunner
* Rank of Hands
* Ice Cool
* Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre

Three out of the five games we had played before and two of them we had not. The three we had played before were Raptor, Ice Cool, and Epic Spell Wars. Chris and I really enjoy taking out Raptor. We love two player games since it is usually just the two of us playing the games. Ice Cool is taken out whenever we just want to have some fun and not be too competitive with each other haha. As for Epic Spell Wars, this game always makes me laugh whenever I play it. I always try to make the most ridiculous spell that I can think of. It’s just great fun!

Rank of Hands was our first Kickstarter game that we received! We were really excited about this. We had fun with the game, we were able to tell Aaron (the designer) our thoughts, and we shared our review here

Netrunner was a very different style of a living card game than we are used to but this game was a lot of fun. I don’t think we will be getting any additional packs yet, as we want to get more familiar with the base game, but we really were surprised at how much we enjoyed it after we got the hang of it.

We actually played Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle yesterday for GenCant and got to Year 4! We absolutely love this game! It’s really addicting! It also gets really difficult as the years go on. I think we both got 'stunned' a few times in the process, but the game is just packed with fun and we love that it is coop. If you haven’t played that one yet, you definitely should.

Overall, this week was a great one for us. The games were fun and challenging. This coming week, I know I want to replay some of our favorites! Stay tuned! Till then….

Happy Gaming!
